I have extensive experience in healthcare, laboratory sciences, molecular biology, biotechnology, and research, with a professional journey spanning pharmaceuticals, research, vaccine development, clinical diagnostics, healthcare management, and laboratory operations.

After completing my Master's degree in Biotechnology from HNB Garhwal University in 2011, I began my professional career at Panas Pharmaceuticals, Nepalgunj, as a Quality Control Officer. This role provided me with valuable exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, including quality control practices, laboratory systems, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.

In 2012, I moved to Kathmandu and joined the Center for Molecular Dynamics as a Research Associate. Over the years, I progressed to Assistant Laboratory Manager and subsequently Laboratory Manager. During my tenure, I was involved in a wide range of research projects covering human health, public health, wildlife, conservation, and plant sciences. As Laboratory Manager, I was responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, coordinating research activities, managing laboratory resources, and supporting the development and implementation of various research programs.

In 2018, I joined Biovac Nepal as a Production Manager, where I contributed to the development and production of a vaccine against Newcastle Disease (ND) in poultry. This experience strengthened my understanding of vaccine development, biological production systems, and applied biotechnology.

In 2020, I joined Nepal Mediciti Hospital, where I established the Molecular Biology Department and introduced a range of molecular diagnostic tests. This was an important transition in my career, allowing me to apply my research and biotechnology experience directly to clinical diagnostics and patient care.

In 2022, I joined Alfa Healthcare and Diagnostic Center as Operations Manager. In this role, I gained extensive experience in managing a comprehensive healthcare facility, including day-to-day operations, laboratory and clinical services, staff coordination, and overall healthcare management. I left Alfa Healthcare in 2024 as I wanted to pursue my own vision of providing accessible, reliable, and quality healthcare services.

In 2023, I partnered with Dr. Avash and our team to establish M.G. Polyclinic in Maitidevi, with the aim of providing high-quality and accessible healthcare services to the community. I was involved in the establishment and management of the organization until 2025, when I handed over its operations to another team.

Also in 2023, I established Time Medicare Clinic and Path Lab in Lagankhel, Lalitpur, near Patan Hospital, with a commitment to providing quality clinical and diagnostic services. The center is fully operational and provides a range of clinical and laboratory services to the community, guided by the principle of "Commitment to Quality Care."

In 2024, I began providing consultation services to National Path Lab, Lalitpur, as the organization was looking to expand its diagnostic capabilities in molecular genetics. As a Molecular Biologist and Biotechnologist, I have been actively involved in the development of its Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics Unit at Lagankhel, Lalitpur. My current work includes supporting the establishment and expansion of PCR- and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based diagnostic services and contributing to the development of advanced molecular diagnostic capabilities.

In 2025, we established the Nepal One Health Institute (NOHI), where I serve as a Laboratory Lead. NOHI is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing the principles of One Health—an integrated and multidisciplinary approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Through NOHI, I actively contribute to research, laboratory development, disease surveillance, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at addressing emerging public health challenges through collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches.

Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of research, laboratory science, biotechnology, and healthcare. My experience has allowed me to work across different stages of the healthcare and laboratory ecosystem—from research and vaccine development to molecular diagnostics, laboratory management, healthcare operations, and the establishment of new diagnostic services. I remain committed to using this multidisciplinary experience to strengthen diagnostic capacity, promote scientific research, and contribute to the delivery of accessible and reliable healthcare services.
